1. What year were you born in?
1983.

2. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
A lawyer, thinking I could argue for money. Thank goodness that didn’t happen, as I don’t like having conflicts as a grown-up.

3. What year did you start your author career?
2014.

4. Why did you want to become an author?
I love to use my imagination and to be able to feel like a free spirit and work from wherever I want in the world. I also like to research new topics and learn new things.

5. What do you think makes a good story?
A well-developed plot which is not predictable with twists and high stakes.

6. What does the word “writer’s block” mean to you and from where do you get your inspiration?
It happens to me when I need to write a difficult scene and I have to spend a few days thinking the scene through before I can type it out. I observe the world around me, films or use props to find inspiration.

7. What part of the story comes first to you, the plot, the worlds or the characters?
To me, the plot comes first with a general concept, then I break it down to what characters are needed for that plot to be executed. Lastly, I determine what type of world the main character lives in to give them the most dilemmas.

8. What is your writing process like? Are you a plotter or a pantser?
Definitely a plotter of the main parts, so fillers can be done pantseing.

9. If you could spend a day with another author, whom would you choose?
I know it is cliché, but I think a day at Harry Potter Studio Tour in the UK with J.K. Rowling could be an unforgettable experience.

10. Except for your own books, which book is your favourite?
I have read the first book of the Game of Thrones and I thought the flow and style was amazing.
